Tanggapan Cepat Pemerintah Kota Tangerang terhadap Tragedi Remaja Korban Eksploitasi

weatherontheair.com – Seorang remaja berusia 16 tahun, hanya diidentifikasi dengan inisial CC, telah melompat dari lantai tiga rumah majikannya di Karawaci, Kota Tangerang, sebagai akibat dari eksploitasi. Pemerintah Kota Tangerang telah mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan menanggung seluruh biaya pengobatan korban.

“Korban saat ini sedang dirawat di RSUD Tangerang dan semua biaya perawatan akan ditanggung oleh Pemerintah Kota Tangerang,” ungkap Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, Kapolres Metro Tangerang Kota, pada hari Minggu (2/6/2024).

Tersangka, yang diidentifikasi sebagai J, telah diduga memanipulasi data pribadi korban dengan membuat KTP palsu yang menunjukkan umur korban sebagai 21 tahun untuk memfasilitasi eksploitasi sebagai asisten rumah tangga. Dalam kenyataannya, dokumen resmi seperti Kartu Keluarga (KK) dan ijazah SMP menunjukkan bahwa korban sebenarnya berusia 16 tahun dan berasal dari Kerawang, bukan Brebes seperti yang tertera di KTP palsu.

Kombes Zain menjelaskan, “Pemeriksaan di Disdukcapil menemukan bahwa Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK) pada KTP palsu yang dibuat tidak terdaftar. Tersangka J telah memalsukan dokumen untuk mengubah umur korban dari 16 menjadi 21 tahun.”

Akibat tindakannya, J kini menghadapi berbagai tuduhan hukum, termasuk pelanggaran terhadap UU RI No. 21 Tahun 2007 tentang Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (TPPO), serta pasal-pasal dari UU Perlindungan Anak, UU tentang Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT), dan UU Ketenagakerjaan, selain juga pasal-pasal dari KUHP tentang pemalsuan dokumen dan penahanan ilegal.

“J saat ini ditahan di Rumah Tahanan Polres Metro Tangerang Kota,” tambah Kombes Zain.

Kejadian tragis ini terjadi pada Rabu (30/5), saat korban, yang merasa tidak tahan dengan kondisi pekerjaannya, memutuskan untuk melompat dari lantai tiga, mengakibatkan cedera serius pada kedua pergelangan kakinya. Pemerintah setempat, dengan cepat merespons, menjamin bahwa korban akan menerima semua perawatan medis yang diperlukan untuk pemulihannya.
